In Fiscal Year (FY) 2024, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is providing $83.7 million to eligible public transit systems to promote sustainable, risk-based efforts to protect critical transportation infrastructure and the traveling public from acts of terrorism.
The Transit Security Grant Program (TSGP) provides funding to eligible public transportation systems (which include intra-city bus, ferries and all forms of passenger rail) to protect critical transportation infrastructure and the travelling public from terrorism, and to increase transportation infrastructure resilience.
