WYOMING FEMA INTEGRATION TEAM BEGINS PARTNERSHIP

DENVER – The State of Wyoming Office of Homeland Security recently welcomed the first member of its Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Integration Team (FIT). FITs enhance intergovernmental coordination by co-locating FEMA personnel with their state counterparts.

The Wyoming FIT will allow the state’s emergency management services to have an in-house communication channel with FEMA Region VIII in Denver.

FEMA Authorizes Funds to Help Fight Roosevelt Fire in Sublette County, Wyoming

DENVER - The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has authorized the use of federal funds to help with firefighting costs for the Roosevelt Fire in Sublette County, south of Bondurant.

FEMA Regional Administrator Lee K. dePalo approved the state’s request for a federal Fire Management Assistance Grant (FMAG) after receiving the state’s request Tuesday evening.
