President Donald J. Trump Approves Major Disaster Declaration for Alaska

WASHINGTON – The Federal Emergency Management Agency announced today that federal disaster assistance has been made available to the state of Alaska to supplement state, tribal, and local recovery efforts in the areas affected by flooding from May 11 to May 13, 2018.

Two Alaska Teens Selected for First FEMA Region 10 Youth Preparedness Council

BOTHELL, Wash. – Two teens from Alaska have been selected to be part of the inaugural Region 10 Youth Preparedness Council (YPC), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Alaska Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (DHSEM) announced Wednesday. The YPC currently has nine members representing the four states of FEMA Region 10 – Alaska, Washington, Oregon and Idaho.

President Donald J. Trump Approves Major Disaster Declaration for Alaska

WASHINGTON – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced today that federal disaster assistance has been made available to the state of Alaska to supplement state, tribal and local recovery efforts in the areas affected by a severe storm on December 4, 2017.

Federal funding is available to the state, tribal and eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis for emergency work and the repair or replacement of facilities damaged by the severe storm in the Kenai Peninsula Borough.

FEMA Approves $3.1 Million for Project to the State of Alaska Division of Forestry

BOTHELL, Wash. – Department of Natural Resources, State of Alaska Division of Forestry will receive $3.1 million from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for wildfire suppression and structure protection costs based on the threat from the Sockeye Fire.
