FEMA is soliciting early written comments from those agencies, organizations, and individuals regarding the intent to prepare a Programmatic Environmental Assessment for Watershed Resilience Projects in the State of North Dakota.

Interested persons are hereby notified that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)/Department of Homeland Security (DHS) intends to prepare a Programmatic Environmental Assessment for Watershed Resilience Projects in the State of North Dakota. In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969, FEMA Instruction 108-1-1, and DHS Instruction 023-01-001-01, a Programmatic Environmental Assessment (PEA) will be prepared to streamline environmental reviews, saving time and money for various watershed resilience projects that previously would have required a standalone Environmental Assessment.

Anyone interested in providing comment on the project may respond as noted below before June 27, 2025. Be sure to provide your name and contact information along with your comments.
