As the people of New York repair and rebuild their homes, FEMA has teamed with Lowe’s stores in Hicksville and The Home Depot in West Nyack to provide free information and tips on how to make homes damaged by natural disasters stronger and safer.

Event Details

As the people of New York repair and rebuild their homes, FEMA has teamed with Lowe’s stores in Hicksville and The Home Depot in West Nyack to provide free information and tips on how to make homes damaged by natural disasters stronger and safer.

FEMA specialists will be available at the locations listed below to answer questions and offer tips and techniques for building hazard-resistant homes to help prevent or reduce damage from disasters. Most information is geared toward do-it-yourself work and general contractors.

FEMA’s Hazard Mitigation advisors are available at the stores Monday, Nov. 22; Tuesday, Nov. 23; Wednesday, Nov. 24 and Saturday, Nov. 27. They will not be available Thanksgiving Day or Friday, Nov. 26.
