FEMA is seeking comments on Federal Register Request for Information in support of the efforts to implement the Community Disaster Resilience Zones Act.

These designated zones will receive targeted support to access federal funding to plan for resilience projects that will help them reduce impacts caused by climate change and natural hazards. It will also enable communities to work across a range of federal and private sector partners to maximize funding and provide technical assistance, strengthening community resilience.

FEMA seeks input from the public on updates to the methodology, improvements to FEMA’s provision of hazard data, the zone designation process, financial and technical assistance, and the Community Disaster Resilience Zone application and certification process.

The following sessions are scheduled before the Request for Information closes on July 25, 2023.
