Disaster Survivors with Flood or Homeowners/Renters Insurance are Encouraged to Apply for Disaster Assistance

Individuals who have flood insurance through the National Flood Insurance Program and live in areas designated as having a Presidential Disaster Declaration are encouraged to apply for FEMA assistance, in addition to filing their flood claim. For individuals who are found to be eligible, FEMA disaster assistance may help with uncovered expenses, like additional living expenses (e.g., temporary housing).
