FEMA y la Oficina de Manejo de Emergencias de Oregon recuerdan a los sobrevivientes del desastre que deben tener cuidado con el fraude y la estafa después de un desastre. Los intentos de estafa a los residentes pueden realizarse por teléfono, por correo electrónico o postal, a través del internet o en persona. Es importante permanecer alerta. Los estafadores son creativos y tienen muchos recursos. Si una oferta parece demasiado buena para ser cierta, hay que cuestionarla.
