After serving 13 years as a Public Assistance specialist and coordinator, a FEMA Reservist is tosses in the towel and will retire March 1.
Robert Snider from Region VII, Kansas City, Mo., was called out to serve on 52 federally declared disasters. Snider will spend his retirement days fishing and working on boats and spending time with his wife, Eva.
Snider may have started a family tradition because his son, Robert Snider, Jr., and grandson, Jake Snider, are also employees with FEMA.
A retirement party for Snider was held Feb. 22. The attendees were able to extend congratulations on his long service to FEMA and the communities he served.
