How You Can Get Vaccinated

The CDC is providing recommendations to federal, state, and local governments about who should be vaccinated first.

CDC’s recommendations are based on those of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, an independent panel of medical and health experts.

Accelerate Vaccine Efforts

More healthcare personnel is needed to assist with COVID-19 vaccination efforts. Sign up to administer the vaccine in your community.

FEMA will reimburse state, local, tribal and territorial governments and the District of Columbia for the use of their National Guard to respond to COVID-19 at a 100% cost share until Sept. 30, 2021.

We will expedite reimbursement for eligible emergency work projects as appropriate and consistent with applicable law. Such assistance may include but is not limited to:

Ensuring Equitable Vaccine Access

FEMA is committed to ensuring every person who wants a vaccine can get one. We are supporting states, tribes and territories by providing equipment, funding and personnel to vaccination centers.

FEMA established a Civil Rights Advisory Group to help ensure equity in the allocation of scarce resources, including any additional future allocations of vaccine. The group includes members from FEMA program offices, and other federal agencies:

  • Health and Human Services (HHS)
  • HHS, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
  • HHS, Administration for Community Living
  • HHS, Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response
  • Housing and Urban Development
