PHILADELPHIA – The Federal Emergency Management Agency has provided more than $4 billion to Region 3 states and the District of Columbia for costs related to saving lives and protecting the public from COVID-19. In addition to Washington, DC, Region 3 includes Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. Funds were distributed among local partners, state partners, school districts, other public entities, and certain private nonprofits.

FEMA and the Illinois Emergency Management Agency announced today that $22,046,100 in federal funding has been made available to the city of Chicago for costs related to the response to COVID-19 under the federal disaster declaration of March 26, 2020.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Wisconsin Emergency Management (WEM) announced today that $144,454,782 in federal funding has been made available to the Wisconsin Department of Administration for costs related to the state’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic under the federal disaster declaration of April 4, 2020.
