You will receive notification letters from FEMA either by U.S. mail or by electronic correspondence. You may need to verify your identity or complete a home inspection. All inspections will be conducted by phone due to COVID-19 and the need to protect the safety and health of our workforce and survivors.

FEMA Response Actions
Disaster recovery is a whole community effort. Federal, state and local partners and non-governmental organizations are working together to support Kentucky, the disaster-impacted communities and the survivors.
- The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) activated its Disaster Distress Helpline. This free, multilingual (available in Spanish and ASL), crisis support service is available 24/7 by telephone or text at 800-985-5990 for disaster survivors in Kentucky experiencing emotional distress.
