Two Mobile Registration Intake Centers (MRICs) will open in Plumas County for survivors whose uninsured and underinsured primary residence was damaged or destroyed by the Dixie Fire.

A Disaster Recovery Center (DRC), jointly operated by Plumas County, the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), will open in Chester on Tuesday, Sept. 14. The DRC will offer information on available resources to homeowners, renters and business owners who sustained damage to their property from the Dixie Fire.

A Mobile Registration Intake Center (MRIC) will open in Nevada County for survivors whose uninsured and underinsured primary residence was damaged or destroyed by the River Fire. Chicago Park Elementary School will host the MRIC for three days from Friday, Sept. 10 to Sunday, Sept. 12. The MRIC will be staffed by FEMA personnel to assist with registration and answer questions about disaster assistance programs.

Two locations will be available for three days from Thursday, Sept. 9 to Saturday, Sept. 11. The MRIC will be staffed by FEMA personnel to assist with registration and answer questions about disaster assistance programs.
