Following is a summary of key federal disaster aid programs that can be made available under President Donald J. Trump's disaster declaration issued for the state of Mississippi.

CANTON, Miss. – President Donald J. Trump signed a declaration on July 10 designating 11 Mississippi counties eligible for federal disaster assistance for damage suffered in the severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds and flooding that hit the state April 22-23, 2020.

Amite, Claiborne, Covington, George, Jefferson Davis, Jones, Lawrence, Pike, Simpson, Smith and Wayne counties are covered under the declaration.

WASHINGTON — FEMA announced yesterday that federal disaster assistance has been made available to the state of Mississippi to supplement state, tribal and local recovery efforts in the areas affected by severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds and flooding from April 22-23, 2020.
