TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — FEMA has approved $1,766,258 for the state of Florida to assist the city of Callaway with reimbursement for the costs of debris removal following Hurricane Michael under FEMA’s Public Assistance Program. FEMA funds will reimburse the city for the collection, reduction, disposal and site management of debris within Callaway following the October 2018 storm.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — FEMA has approved $1,531,212 to the state of Florida to reimburse the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for mosquito control spraying costs following Hurricane Michael in October 2018. Mosquito control spraying was conducted in Bay, Calhoun, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Liberty and Washington Counties from Oct. 10 to Nov. 11, 2018.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — FEMA has approved $1,810,435 to the state of Florida to assist Life Management Center of Northwest Florida with reimbursement for the costs of emergency protective measures following Hurricane Michael under FEMA’s Public Assistance Program. FEMA funds will reimburse the center for actions it took following the October 2018 storm to clean up its campus and provide roof tarping and drying services for several hurricane-damaged buildings.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — FEMA has approved $2,704,701 to the state of Florida to assist Gadsden District Schools with reimbursement for the costs of emergency protective measures following Hurricane Michael under FEMA’s Public Assistance Program. FEMA funds will reimburse the school system for actions it took following the October 2018 storm to provide mold remediation for damage from rain and hurricane-force winds at Greensboro Elementary and Shanks Middle Schools.
