ATLANTA – The Federal Emergency Management Agency continues to support communities in South Carolina recovering from Hurricane Florence.  Horry Electric Co-Op, Inc. will receive more than $1.7 million to offset costs for permanent repair and restoration of the power distribution system.The grant is provided through FEMA’s Public Assistance program which reimburses eligible applicants on a cost sharing basis up to 75 percent for actions taken in response to and recovery from a disaster. The remaining project costs are covered by non-federal sources.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Hurricane Florence survivors in South Carolina have one more week to register for disaster assistance with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and to apply for a low-interest disaster loan from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) for losses caused by Hurricane Florence.
