Orlando, Fla. – FEMA is awarding the City of Marco Island a $1,500,000 Hazard Mitigation grant to fund a generator at the Water Source Facility, located at 7130 Collier Blvd., Naples, FL 34114. The proposal is to install a 1600-kilowatt generator to keep their Water Source Facility (for potable water treatment, water pressure, and fire suppression supply to the community of Marco Island) continuously operational in the event of an outage.Funding for this HMGP project is authorized under Section 404 of the Robert T. Stafford Act.
