ORLANDO, Fla. – FEMA has approved $3,351,289 for the State of Florida to help the City of Ocala defray the costs of repairing damage to the city’s electric power system caused by Hurricane Irma.FEMA funds will reimburse Ocala for repairs conducted after the September 2017 storm. City and contract workers removed and replaced 48 wooden and concrete power poles, 19,261 feet of electrical transmission line and 121 power transformers throughout the city.

ORLANDO, Fla. – FEMA has approved $1,873,755 for the State of Florida to help the Jacksonville Electric Authority defray the costs of repairs associated with Hurricane Irma.FEMA funds will reimburse JEA for repairs conducted after the September 2017 storm. Electric authority and contract workers made permanent repairs to 370 broken water lines and 390 broken sewer lines throughout JEA’s service area, which includes four Florida counties.
