Mitigation specialists from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) are hosting workshops in Illinois on small projects that can be undertaken by an individual homeowner at a reasonable cost.
DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. — The Westchester Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) at St. Joseph High School will transition to a U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Disaster Loan Outreach Center opening at 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov 8. Federal disaster assistance may cover furnace repairs that are related to severe storms and flooding that happened from July 19 through Aug. 7, according to disaster officials with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. -- The joint state/federal Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) operating in Cicero, Westchester and the Austin area of Chicago will now be open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays, according to disaster officials. The change takes effect this Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010.
