OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Maryland citizens who suffered damage from Hurricane Floyd and the floods that followed have only two weeks to register for disaster assistance. Nov. 22, is the last day to file applications for disaster-assistance programs, federal and state disaster recovery officials said.
OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Persons who lost work because of Hurricane Floyd in September have until November 1, 1999 to apply for Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA).The deadline is for persons in the Maryland counties of Anne Arundel, Calvert, Caroline, Cecil, Charles, Harford, Kent, Queen Anne's, Somerset, St. Mary's, and Talbot. Persons must apply during the open application period, even if they are not certain if they qualify, and do not expect to receive benefits immediately.
