WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The land movement continues and is expected to eventually impact all 130 homes in the subdivision of the City of Kelso designated for federal disaster assistance. State and FEMA staff from the Disaster Field Office (DFO) are working with local officials to determine the total boundaries of the damage area in order quickly administer Individual Assistance (IA) disaster programs to affected residents.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced today that President Clinton has approved the use of federal disaster funds for Washington State to supplement relief efforts for families in the city of Kelso endangered by an unstable landslide that began last March.
