Department of Commerce

Funding for rural & urban areas to provide investments that support construction, non-construction, technical assistance, & revolving loan fund projects. Broadband projects in economically distressed communities are eligible for funding.

Consolidated Appropriations Act: FY21 Mixed Earner Unemployment Compensation (MEUC)

Department of Labor

For participating States MEUC provides an additional $100/week to individuals receiving certain unemployment insurance benefits who received at least $5,000 of self-employment income in the taxable year ending prior to the individual’s application.

Department of Transportation

Grant funding to support surface transportation infrastructure projects that will have a significant local or regional impact.

American Rescue Plan: FY21 Funding for Health Center Look-Alikes (93.527)

Department of Health and Human Services

The purpose of this funding is to support designated Look-Alikes (LALs) to respond to and mitigate the spread of COVID-19, and to enhance health care services and infrastructure.

CARES Act: FY21 Community Health Workers for COVID Response & Resilient Communities (93.495)

Department of Health and Human Services

Supports efforts to train and deploy community health workers (CHWs); and to build/strengthen community resilience to fight COVID-19 through addressing existing health disparities in the population.

Consolidated Appropriations Act: FY21 Emergency Broadband Benefit Program (EBB)

Other Independent Agencies

Discount of up to $50/month towards broadband service for eligible households & up to $75 per month for those on Tribal lands. Eligible households can receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase of certain devices such as laptops or tablets.

American Rescue Plan: FY21 Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP)

Department of Health and Human Services

Provides funds to assist low-income households with water & wastewater bills. Grants available to States/Territories/Tribes that received FY21 Low Income Household Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) grants.

American Rescue Plan: FY21 Funding for Health Centers (H8F)

Department of Health and Human Services

Supports health centers funded under the Health Center Program to prevent, mitigate, and respond to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and to enhance health care services and infrastructure.

Consolidated Appropriations Act: FY21 Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA)

Department of Labor

PUA provides benefits to unemployed individuals affected by COVID-19 who are ineligible for or disqualified from other types of UC, including but not limited to self-employed, gig workers, religious group staff, or those lacking sufficient work history.

Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act: FY20 Supplemental Funding for Health Centers (93.527)

Department of Health and Human Services

COVID-19 supplemental funding provides $1.3 billion in support to health centers for the detection of coronavirus and/or the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of COVID-19, including maintaining or increasing health center capacity and staffing levels.

Department of Health and Human Services

Provides funds to assist low-income households with water & wastewater bills. Grants available to States/Territories/Tribes that received FY21 Low Income Household Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) grants.

CARES Act: Individual Assistance Program - Crisis Counseling Assistance & Training Program (97.032)

Federal Emergency Management Agency

To assist individuals and communities in recovering from the effects of natural and human-caused disasters through the provision of community-based outreach and psycho-educational services.

Consolidated Appropriations Act: FY21 Community Development Financial Institutions: Rapid Response Program (CDFI RRP) (21.024)

Department of the Treasury

Will provide Certified CDFIs with grants to “support, prepare for, and respond to the economic impact” of the COVID-19 pandemic.

American Rescue Plan: FY21 Elementary & Secondary School Emergency Relief – Homeless Children & Youth (ARP-HCY) (84.425W)

Department of Education

SEAs/LEAs must use ARP-HCY funds to identify homeless children & youth, to provide them with wrap-around services to address challenges of COVID-19, and to enable homeless children & youth to attend school & fully participate in school activities.

Consolidated Appropriations Act: FY21 Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE): Supplemental Assistance to Institutions of Higher Education (SAIHE) (84.425S)

Department of Education

The SAIHE program supports IHEs that the Secretary determines, after allocating other funds, have unmet needs related to coronavirus.

Department of Education

Provides funding to institutions to cover institutional costs associated with significant changes to the delivery of instruction due to coronavirus.

American Rescue Plan: FY21 Environmental Justice Small Grants Program (66.604)
