Rochelle Park builds a pump facility above the 500-year flood elevation to protect critical infrastructure, the community, and the environment.
Rochelle Park, New Jersey: $1.95 million
Project Description
The township of Rochelle Park’s sanitary sewer pump station is outdated. It lies in the Saddle River floodway. As a result, the pump station has flooded and failed before. In these events, untreated sewage has flowed into the Saddle River.
This project will build a new facility above the 500-year flood elevation. It will also replace outdated pumps and install new pump operation systems and backup generators. These improvements will greatly reduce the chances of flood damage to the facility and will protect critical infrastructure, the community, and the environment.
