St. Charles Parish proposes to elevate nine flood prone repetitive loss and severe repetitive loss structures and other residential structures to prevent damage and reduce National Flood Insurance Program paid claims. There has been a total of 26 paid flood insurance claims across the nine structures. St. Charles Parish has engaged with the local floodplain manager to review each property against best available information concerning the Base Flood Elevation.
