Custer County to make improvements to MacKay Dam.
Custer County, Idaho: $7.08 million
Project Description
Custer County, a community of 4,428 residents, will make two improvements to the Mackay Dam. The project includes two phases. The first improvement is to remove and replace the primary spillway. The second improvement is to remove and replace the Fiberglass Reinforce Plastic (FRP)-lining of the outlet works tunnel and move the controls downstream. These activities will ensure flows below those of traditional dam overtopping do not prematurely lead to dam failure.
