Debris Removal

Debris removal activities, such as clearance, removal, recycling and disposal are eligible under Public Assistance Category A if the removal is in the public interest, among other factors.

Debris includes, but is not limited to:

  • vegetative debris
  • construction and demolition debris
  • sand
  • mud
  • silt
  • gravel
  • rocks
  • boulders
  • white goods
  • vehicle and vessel wreckage

NOTE: Snow-related activities including road clearing are not considered debris operations, as snow is not considered a form of debris.
