Después de ofrecer tres seminarios en línea en el idioma inglés sobre la recién publicada guía Cómo lograr una recuperación equitativa: una guía después de un desastre para funcionarios y líderes locales (“Guía de Equidad”), se llevará a cabo un seminario en línea en español de 2 p.m. a 3 p.m. (hora del Este) el 21 de marzo de 2024.

After hosting three earlier webinars in English for the newly released Achieving Equitable Recovery: A Post-Disaster Guide for Local Officials and Leaders (“Equity Guide”), a webinar in Spanish will take place from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. (ET) on March 21, 2024.

At FEMA, there is no short supply of women who have helped shape the emergency management field. Today, we are led by Deanne Criswell, FEMA’s first permanent female Administrator. Administrator Criswell serves as a role model for women, fostering the shift to greater representation and inclusivity in the field of emergency management. This work, carried out by FEMA leaders across the agency, embodies this year’s Women’s History Month theme: “women who advocate for equity, diversity and inclusion.”

The 2024 theme, “African Americans and the Arts,” explores the creativity, resilience and innovation from a culture that has uplifted spirits and soothed souls in countless ways across centuries. FEMA joins the nation in this celebration of the arts and artists that demonstrate the influence and resilience of these creators.
