FEMA hosts virtual and in-person events to provide training, assist disaster survivors, share hiring opportunities, and promote other activities related to helping people before, during and after disasters.



Virtual presentation provided by FEMA Careers held the first Wednesday of each month. Topics include a FEMA overview, federal resume writing tips, navigating USAjobs.gov, and additional resources.


New Flood Risk Maps are being finalized for Clark County South Dakota. Individuals have until March 21, 2023 to submit an appeal regarding any scientific errors related to determinations made on the new maps.


New Flood Risk Maps are being finalized for Day County South Dakota. Individuals have until March 26, 2023 to submit an appeal regarding any scientific errors related to determinations made on the new maps.


New Flood Risk Maps are being finalized for Stark County North Dakota. Individuals have until March 28, 2023 to submit an appeal regarding any scientific errors related to determinations made on the new maps.


New flood maps have been developed for Emmons County and the City of Linton. If residents or businesses feel there is an error in the map, they have a 90-day period to provide scientific or engineering data.

FEMA is seeking public feedback from partners, stakeholders, and the general public on the Achieving Equitable Recovery: A Post Disaster Guide for Local Officials (“Equity Guide”), developed by the Community Assistance Branch, Interagency Coordination Division, Recovery Directorate.

FEMA will host an in-person listening session with Tribal Nations and Emergency Managers at the Center for Domestic Preparedness to discuss the 2017 Tribal Declarations Guidance.
