FEMA is hosting several 60-minute webinar sessions to provide an overview of the draft document and facilitate discussion with participants to gather feedback on additional ways to improve the guide. FEMA seeks input, especially real-world experiences, that can be incorporated into the guide. Advance registration is required.


New flood maps have been developed for Golden Valley County and the City of Beach. If residents or businesses feel there is an error in the map, they have a 90-day period to provide scientific or engineering data.


FEMA will host a series of 60–90-minute webinars to provide an overview of notable changes found in the 2023 REP Program Manual.


Moody County’s flood insurance rate map update is nearing completion. The new maps will provide Moody County with more accurate flood risk information that can help local officials and residents make informed decisions about reducing flood risks and purchasing flood insurance.


FEMA is requesting public comments on its latest Public Assistance Program and Policy Guide version 5, which focuses on plain language and increased eligibility for assistance. The 60-day public comment period opens June 18, 2024 and closes August 19, 2024.


FEMA manages the National Flood Insurance Program which includes more than 22,600 Participating Communities. This year, FEMA’s Floodplain Management Division is conducting a survey of the nation’s Floodplain Administrators who manage local floodplains for these jurisdictions. Survey findings will inform a five-year National Floodplain Administrators Training Strategy that will be coordinated by the Floodplain Management Division.


Granite County’s flood insurance rate map updates are nearing completion. The new maps will provide Granite County with more accurate flood risk information that can help local officials and residents make informed decisions about reducing flood risks and purchasing flood insurance.

Join FEMA’s Office of Business, Industry, and Infrastructure Integration (OB3I) for the June Business and Industry Call on June 25, 2024, from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. EDT. The webinar will showcase a variety of tools, resources, and best practices for businesses and emergency management professionals to utilize when preparing for, responding to, and recovering from the impact of hurricane season.

FEMA’s Grant Programs Directorate (GPD) is offering a series of 30-minute training webinars on the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA), a part of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). These virtual trainings will be facilitated by GPD’s Buy America Branch (BAB) and offered on various dates from April through August 2024. The trainings will cover a variety of topics related to BABAA, including roles and responsibilities, best practices, covered products, and waivers.

As part of the Good Jobs Initiative, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) is partnering with FEMA to deliver a one-hour virtual training regarding procurement under a FEMA award. Participants will learn about the federal procurement standards and U.S. labor laws and practices during procurement processes.


Flood Mitigation Assistance: Swift Current FY24 Notice of Funding Opportunity Webinar
Join us for a webinar to learn about the Flood Mitigation Assistance Swift Current (Swift Current) Fiscal Year 2024 Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). Swift Current provides funding to mitigate buildings insured through the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) after a presidentially declared flood-related disaster to reduce risk against future flood damage.


The webinar will cover the basic capabilities and functions of OneResponder and explore new features recently added to the tool.


FEMA is hosting two webinars as an opportunity to learn about the updates to OneResponder and its capabilities and functions on June 18, 2024, from 1-2 PM ET, and on June 20, 2024, from 1-2 PM ET. It is a primer for existing users and an introduction for new users.
