New Flood Risk Maps are being finalized for Clark County South Dakota. Individuals have until March 21, 2023 to submit an appeal regarding any scientific errors related to determinations made on the new maps.


New Flood Risk Maps are being finalized for Day County South Dakota. Individuals have until March 26, 2023 to submit an appeal regarding any scientific errors related to determinations made on the new maps.


New Flood Risk Maps are being finalized for Stark County North Dakota. Individuals have until March 28, 2023 to submit an appeal regarding any scientific errors related to determinations made on the new maps.


As Floridians rebuild, survivors of Hurricane Ian can get free advice on how to rebuild stronger and safer against storms.


New Flood Risk Maps are being finalized for Grant County South Dakota. Individuals have until April 11, 2023 to submit an appeal regarding any scientific errors related to determinations made on the new maps.

As part of a continuing effort to help Floridians rebuild from Hurricane Nicole and Hurricane Ian, FEMA is offering free advice on how to rebuild stronger and safer against storms.


Residents repairing and rebuilding following Hurricane Ian can visit the Palmetto Ace Home Center in Pawleys Island to get tips and advice on making homes stronger and safer against storms and other hazards.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency plans to host an in-person open house meeting on January 25, 2023, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM CT. The open house will introduce St. Clair County residents to their updated flood maps. 

Provides an overview of the requirements and FEMA financial assistance applicability under the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA), FEMA’s waiver authority and waiver types, and review of additional FEMA resources.

The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act increases funding for FEMA dam safety with $585 million for the Rehabilitation of High Hazard Potential Dams (HHPD) Grant, $148 million for the State Assistance Grant, and $67 million total for operations and support. Listening sessions will help develop the goals for this funding and the steps necessary to accomplish these goals.

Survivors of Hurricane Fiona who were unable to apply for assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) during the normal enrollment period may be considered for disaster assistance through a late application. The deadline is January 21, 2023.
