Employee Assistance Program Services are available to all employees

As devastating storms and tornadoes have caused damage across the Midwest, Safety, Health & Medical Readiness Division thru Federal Occupational Health in partnership with OCCHCO would like to remind you that Employee Assistance Program services are available to all employees, including the disaster assistant employees that were impacted by the destruction.

EAP counseling services are available for those dealing with the emotional aftermath of these recent storms, even if they are not intimately involved. Our team of professionals is available to provide, support, referrals, and information for a wide range of services. Employees can check with the FEMA Safety Office to make sure they have the most current information on emergency response procedures.

Supervisors and managers should remain aware of the signs and symptoms of someone in distress. All employees at FEMA and their family members can call EAP for services at 1-800-333-0364 or 1-888-262-7848 (TTY). Calls are answered at this number 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

During the response and recovery operations of any disaster, FEMA employees are also impacted. They may be affected directly or indirectly and need to discuss their experiences and concerns. We ask all employees, managers, and supervisors to be aware of the resources at their disposal.
