President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. Approves Disaster Declaration for Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands
FEMA announced that federal disaster assistance has been made available to the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands to supplement commonwealth and local recovery efforts in the areas affected by Typhoon Mawar during the period of May 22, 2023, and continuing.

600 FEMA Personnel Supporting Recovery Efforts Following Typhoon Mawar, Agency Urges Residents in Guam to Remain Cautious Amid Flood Warnings
Following President Biden’s amended Major Disaster Declaration for Guam on Sunday, FEMA has received nearly 5,300 registrations for assistance and urges survivors to continue to register. More than 630 FEMA personnel are supporting response and recovery efforts in Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
