To date, FEMA has obligated $6.7 million for the replacement of the fire station that was destroyed during Hurricane Katrina. Ribbon Cutting for Port Sulphur Fire Station/EMS A ribbon cutting ceremony was held at the Port Sulphur Fire Station/EMS building on Sept. 3. The new facilities are built to current codes and standards and all electrical and mechanical components have been mitigated to reduce the risk of future potential flood damage.
