Individuals may also consult with their local Allen Parish floodplain administrator at (337) 639-4328 with questions on which flood map or elevations to use going forward when rebuilding.   Chalmette High School Cultural Arts Building Gala and Grand Opening - Friday, March 18 The Chalmette High School Cultural Arts Building is a new venue for the St. Bernard Parish public school students, which was constructed post-Katrina on the campus of Chalmette High School. The building boasts of a 420-seat performing arts theater, two dance studios, choral and instrumental music rooms with recording capabilities, a lecture/technology theater, library for the adjacent ninth grade academy and space for a public library. The building was financed by a combination of funding through FEMA, the Office of Community Development, and private donations from community partners including: Exxon-Mobil, the Meraux Foundation, the Lions Club International Foundation, Entergy, and the CHS Cultural Arts Foundation, Albert Carey, founder.
