Application Checklist Ensure your application includes: ? A full description of the proposed mitigation measure or project ? An analysis of the project’s cost and substantial risk reduction ? A full description of the environmental effects of the proposed project and alternatives, including whether the project will be consistent with federal, State and local environmental land-use regulations (see environmental questionnaire) ? All authorized signatures ? Copies of advertisements publicizing meetings about the property acquisition project (preferably from a local newspaper) ? A copy of a Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) or other map that clearly shows the project area ? Environmental agency review letters Ensure your property inventories include: ? Photographs of the properties ? Copies of the property deeds, if available ? Detailed property data (describing home and damages) ? Tax assessments ? Correspondence (at least one example of the letter sent to all property owners) ? Individual duplication of benefits data ? Copies of maps, e.g., tax parcel maps, U. S. Geological Survey (USGS) quad maps, National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) maps, flood maps, etc. As available, include: ? Photographs of flood damage throughout the community ?
