What is the purpose of the FY 2010 Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Grant Program? The purpose of the FY 2010 EOC Grant Program is to improve emergency management and preparedness capabilities by supporting flexible, sustainable, secure and interoperable EOCs with a focus on addressing identified needs. 2. How much funding is available under the FY 2010 EOC Grant Program? The total amount of funds to be distributed under the FY 2010 EOC Grant Program is $57,600,000. Of that amount, $47,442,500 was designated by legislation for specific state, local, and tribal EOC projects throughout the nation. The remaining $10,157,500 was allocated competitively to eligible state and local governments’ principal EOCs. 3. What are the priorities for the competitive FY 2010 EOC Grant Program? The priority is to ensure that funding recipients are able to adequately construct or renovate their EOC in order to ensure effective emergency management, continuity of operations and continuity of government in major disasters or emergencies caused by any hazard. 4. Who was eligible to apply for FY 2010 EOC Grant Program funds? Eligible applicants to apply for and administer funds under the FY 2010 EOC Grant Program were State Administrative Agencies (SAAs) for all 56 states, territories, and the District of Columbia. The SAA was the only eligible entity to apply for funds on behalf of eligible state, local and tribal EOCs. 5. How were the FY 2010 EOC Grant Program competitive awards determined? FEMA recognizes that each state, local and tribal jurisdiction has unique emergency management needs.
