| Stakeholders | The primary stakeholders include the lakefront communities within the portions of Monroe, Niagara, and Orleans Counties in New York located within the Oak Orchard-Twelvemile Watershed. |
| Description | This early demonstration project is intended to help FEMA determine the best methods for communicating with the various lakefront communities within the Oak Orchard-Twelvemile Watershed in Monroe, Niagara, and Orleans Counties. The participating communities were selected to compare differing levels of digital data and Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) conditions. The project will also help FEMA determine the best way to deliver information to the communities so that they can successfully implement any changes in their floodplain management based on the Great Lakes coastal study. |
