My husband and I were in NYC about 2 years ago now and I remember walking in the underground shopping center of the WTC. I remember looking at all the people going to work and glad that I was on vacation. A long way from work in Seattle. On the day of 9/11/01 my mind flashed back to that time and those wonderful buildings bustling with people and I felt such sadness and loss. I couldn't help but wonder how many of those lost were people that I passed by the year prior. I am so thankful that we have so many heroes in this country. I am so thankful that God is ultimately in control. I am so thankful that so much of our nation has become united from such a terrible tragedy. I pray that we will never forget the loss of lives on that horrific day. I will remember in pray and silence those that gave and lost their lives.

Thank you for this wonderful tribute.

We were all horrified here to see the events of September 11 2001 and joined you all in your commemorations yesterday.

Having lived with terrorism for over 30 years we have first hand knowledge of the heartbreak it brings.

Good evening. My name is Angela and I live in Bellevue, Nebraska. I feel that the press is only honoring those who died and the firefighters. They aren't honoring all the members of the medical profession who helped those 5 survivors of the WTC collapse and all those people who were injured during the collapse and the attack. I am wondering why. I truly support this great nation of ours and the press should honor all those involved in the help and recovery. Thank you very much and GOD BLESS AMERICA !

My name is Leah and I live in a small town, Brinkley, Arkansas. September 11, 2001 was already a nightmare to me way before 7:46(CST) that morning. On September 10, 2001 my mother was flown to the Elvis Presley Trauma Center in Memphis, TN with a self inflicted gun wound, due to the stress and hopelessness of a domestic violence situation that she had endured for over 20 years. During those few days of being in the hospital with her before her death I never really grasped what was going on in other parts of our country and the true devastation that so many people were feeling.

Today I truly grasped the loss that so many Americans suffered that day. In realizing all of this it has probably been the best therapy for me that I could have "never" paid for. My heart goes out to all of those who have loved and lost the dearest ones in their heart. We will survive this TOGETHER!
