September 11, 2002 Hello I am 11 years old and my teacher told me about your website and I decided to check it out and now I just want to share some of my thoughts. I know this day will stay with me always and I am so grateful for anyone who risked their lives to try to save others they are the true heroes. My teacher asked me what loyalty meant and I said ,"Love for ones country" anyone who did anything to help would also go under the definition of loyalty. I have so many questions but there's one that no one will ever be able to answer WHY? September 11, 2002 As we look around us today, we realize that we still live in the greatest country there is. We the American people have shown the world that we will unite, forgive and move forward. We have the power to do this as we have learned the strength through the generations that preceded us with the fights that were necessary to make us the great nation we are today. As I look at the future generations, my children and grandchildren, I see more strength than I had ever thought possible. We have the possibility of making this a better world, but we all must remember that the strength comes from powers far greater than any man can imagine. On this day of reflection, I was fortunate to be able to attend a memorial service at my work, which again united the people around me on this very special day. My daughter, her mother-in-law and my 3 year old grand daughter, and 6 month old grand son also attended with me. Our thoughts and prayers for this day were with the families of the victims of 9-11, in New York, Washington DC, and Pennsylvania, but the prayers also extended to the military personnel that are serving, especially since 2 of my daughters' brother-in-laws are in the Army, and to all the national leaders that are trying during this time to make sure that we continue with the way of life we treasure so much. In closing, my prayers are that we, the American family, will continue to grow, unite and show the world that we are not going to take any more terrorism. I will continue to pray that President Bush receives the correct guidance in the future for the safety and well being of our great country. Joyce Terrorists thought they were going to bring America to its knees, but instead brought us to our feet and strengthened us even more. God bless America and all the families who have lost loved ones in this great tragedy.
