The only thing good about a terrorist attack is that you can only terrorize us once.

Our memories of the good that has come from it LIVES FOREVER in our hearts and minds.

Thank you for the time and effort it took to put together the remembrance gallery.

I am writing to say I am sorry to all those who have lost loved ones due to this horrific event in our country. But if we unite as a country (as we are doing) I know we can pull through. We need to look to God for help and support also. If there is anything I can do personally let me know.

September eleven two thousand and one
Who could have imagined what this day could have brung
Acts of terror that ripped into our heart
Islamic extremist trying to rip America apart
Time stood still at least so it seemed
While I tried to figure out if this was a dream
Then the announcer rang out lets play ball
Try and move on was our country's call
Back to our lives and typical days
While the search went on through the rubble and haze
Innocents perished because of an unthinkable plot
Our heroes will not sleep until these terrorist are caught
One year later oh how time flies
My heart still heavy at the loss of those lives
New York, Pennsylvania, & Washington DC
The world is now a different place than it use to be
To all the family's and friends of those who have died
One nation under GOD we stand by your side
I WILL NEVER FORGET.

September 11th brings some very sad memories as a New Yorker (born and bred) and an American. However, it wasn't always a sad day in my family. You see, it was the day my sister and I were born. It was a day of great celebration for us. It was also 5 hours and 38 minutes (9/12) before the birth of my daughter.

I cried last year and wished my birthday could have been any other day of the year. My family reminded me that to them it was a very happy day, the day my sister and I were born. I vowed on that day that I would not let any terrorists make me sad for September 11th. I would stand tall and proud as a New Yorker and an American and celebrate my special day no matter what.

We are a brave and resilient people. We will be here long after the terrorists have left the earth.
