It was a glorious morning, approaching 8:45 a.m. as I walked towards my building with its prime view of the Twin Towers. One minute later, at 8:46 a.m. all of our worlds changed. And now one year later, the changes are still apparent. Today, we are a stronger nation, united in spirit and committed to protecting our freedom and the freedoms of peace-loving people around the world. God bless America, my home sweet home. Mike Thank you for the beautiful slide display. It was shown on a big screen here at our offices and everyone took the time to reflect. We are all better for having seen this presentation. September 11, 2002 I was on my way to work on this day last year. I am in the Air Force and not a citizen, but I consider this my home. I love this country and always have. Still today it brings me to tears and anger when people talk about it or when I see it on TV. My heart and soul goes out to those that were lost and to those that lost a loved one. My fiancée is a firefighter in the military and since that day it has made me think of how easily life changes. Take care of those that you cherish and make new friends. Thank you for all your help and support. A1C Kelly Watching the television coverage of the memorial services today has been sad but uplifting. What struck me was listening to the names of those murdered at the World Trade Center. Their names defined what it is to be an American. We may all come from different ethnic backgrounds but we are the same. Our country stands for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We must not let others take this from us. What happened a year ago today was a terrible tragedy, we will never forget all those innocent lives lost. Let us move forward now with courage and resolve to protect our way of life for ourselves and our children. God Bless America. Laurie My heart goes out to all the families, who lost their loved ones and may GOD Bless them all and keep them. I watch the second tower get hit and to this day I can still see it in my mind over and over, so I know a little of what those families are going through and those who lived through the collapse of the towers. GOD BLESS AMERICA AND THE PEOPLE!
