It was a very sad, sad day for all of us in the United States, September 11, 2001, but it did not destroy our spirits as a nation. I love the United States and everything it stands for. I am sorry for those who died and for their families but they are our heroes. I am very thankful that a year later our nation is still strong and we the people are together and very proud to be in America and to be citizens of this great nation. God is in control and in that promise, is where I rest for myself and for the USA. For it is "The peace of God that passes all understanding" (Phillipians 4:7), (Thessalonians 5:18) says "In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." God Bless The United States and protect every American here and overseas.

Thank you for putting such a moving program on for us to see and to reflect to. After 9/11 I sat and reflected on this country's history and what we have endured over the years. I watched Ken Burns' Civil War series over again and I have never felt so moved. To see the terribly heroic acts that people in this country have done all for freedom is amazing. The Civil war, WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam, and the Gulf War. All were fought to preserve the way of life we hold so dear and then someone tries to steal it away from us . Our country is great and God willing will always be so as long as we never lose sight of how we got here. Just remember that America! We are not greater than the one who put us here. God Bless America and all it stands for and God help those who try and ruin her!

My heart simply aches.

I speak for myself. I watched in horror on 9-11-01. Something I could not fix or stop. The pain so great that some group of people hated Americans so much because of our lifestyle, values, compassion for the world around us that they wanted to destroy us. Today we are stronger but more caution in our every day living. I hope we can rid the world of this cancer of hate so we can have a better world to live in.

I will always remember the day when America was attacked by terrorists on September 11, 2001. It was a warm, sunny and just-ordinary Tuesday morning in Texas, but it was quickly overshadowed by the cold chill that shook our entire country. I will never forget the agony we bore in our hearts and the outpour of tears we shed because of the devastation. I remember the echo of fervent prayers, across the miles and from around the world, for those who lost lives and to those who suffered losses.

I want to always remember this time when the police departments, firefighters, doctors, nurses, clergy, politicians, teachers, coworkers, friends and many strangers volunteered endless hours performing the gruesome task of rescuing or recovering someone's loved one. I cannot forget about our military men and women who have since put their lives at risk, daily in the war against terrorism. I am remembering that each man and woman serving our country is also someone's loved one.

I do want to remember the love and the concern we showed toward one another on 9-11. I want to remember this day because neither race, color, creed nor religion had any significance. It was a day when The United States of America became one nation, under God, and indivisible. This day will always be a bittersweet remembrance for me.

God Bless America
