Really wonderful things have come out of this horrible event. Because of 911, people are still displaying their flags, being friendly, "remembering 911" and staying a united nation. Last September, I had hoped that at this time we would still see the positive effects of what came out of 911: Our country still appreciates what we have, the people we have in it, and it recognizes what we're capable of doing together - That's what the United States of America should always stand for. I hope the American people continue this path. It helps makes the lives that were lost stand for what matters most in life and America - PEOPLE. Linda In May of this year I traveled from Washington State to New York City. I had visited the city prior to this visit, but never before have I felt so welcomed and ready to stay in the Big Apple than this trip. Ground Zero was an unbelievable site, one can never imagine what the impact on the city will be in the long run, but for now it appears that the attacks on our country have backfired horribly. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to come together as one on this site. Thank you to all Americans for proving to the rest of the world what we are made of, absolute determination. We will get them and when we do they will wish they had never done such an unforgivable act. Dick I know how hard you all work and continue to work at scenes of all kinds of disasters. I have been involved in a few fires, earthquakes and floods and know how quickly and seemingly effortlessly you organize your troops and resources. I'm happy to be associated with emergency services such as yours. God Bless You. Nancy St. Theresa's Prayer May today there be peace within May you trust your highest power May you not forget the infinite possibilities May you use those gifts that you have received, May you be content knowing you are a child of God.... Let this presence settle into our bones, It is there for each and every one of us.... September 11, 2002 You are there when no one else would have the slightest idea where to start.
