I saw the TODAY show this morning and you mentioned your gallery. My granddaughter and I just watched FEMA's September 11th Remembrance Gallery together. We were both very moved and it brought back many sad and moving thoughts of those days; but it also gave us much hope when we saw all our American heroes still working so hard to return the Pentagon back to its former self. I work at a Marine Corps Air Station in NC, and the last picture of firemen and Marines unfurling of the American Flag from the top of the Pentagon moved us both to tears. We could not help but focus on our heroes so carefully placing our flag and then, coming to attention and snapping a sharp salute to this heroic symbol of our freedom. Those people dedicate their lives to us and our country every day, and we will never be able to say enough thank-yous to let them know how much they are appreciated for all they do to keep us strong and free Americans. This is an outstanding remembrance and we thank you for sharing it with us so "we'll always remember." Thank you and God Bless America!"

Hello to all.

I am writing to say that all involved in the clean up and the search after the planes hit are the heroes.

I can not after 12 months understand what all Americans all going though but my love goes out to all.

what a terrible day in the history of America.....my heart goes out to the families of the victims of this terrible horrific event. One year later, you are all still in our hearts and on our minds. If ever a nation pulled together, that has been this past year. May God bless each and every person affected by 9/11/01, and help lift their spirits, and carry on the weight that they now bear.

I want to thank everyone that is still supporting the 9/11 tragedy, it was sad to see all those innocent people died and I look back and it doesn't even seem that is has been a year. I still wonder what is going to happen to the rest of us. I guess the only good way is to pray to god for every single one of those people out there.

I want everyone to read this if you get this that this is a great country and we don't need no one to mess it up for us so we all need to stand with each other because "we are proud to be an American".

PS - in loving memory to all those on 9/11/01

Like so many others, the events of 9/11 changed me forever. Even now as I sit at my computer watching images of that horrible day, I am reminded of the overwhelming sorrow I had for so long after the attacks. I would like to think that I became a better person after hearing all the stories of the incredible selfless heroes and witnessing the incredible courage, spirit and love of the American people. I just want to offer my prayers to those who are still suffering. We should always remember what happened but I think we need to concentrate on the future. I personally do not want to relive the horrible events of 9/11 but instead would like to concentrate on the here and now. Please know that my prayers are with all that are in pain and that my heart aches and my tears fall as I reflect. God Bless everyone. May He bring you peace and joy again.
