I am a post-Vietnam veteran and a mental health professional. I was at home with my four-year-old son on 9-11-01. I saw the second plane hit...I could not believe what happened. I went into a "I must do something" mode. I went to Liberty State Park to try to help. I still cry today, but I seek the best that can come from a very horrible situation. I am thankful that we as Americans are not victims, but both individually and collectively, stronger.

From Virginia, I remember last year too well. It is the time of the Jewish year and the Day of Atonement. I pray for all of the families who were touched by this horrific event. The brave, brave men, women, dogs, volunteers, everyone, who helped, you are all incredible. My brother and his family are in Israel. I worry all the time. We must never forget what historical events of the past transpired. I think New York is the greatest place in the United States. We will go on. That is why we are the best. I will say my prayers for the New Year, I will ask god to help us. From Virginia. Peace, love and safety.

I would like to take a moment and send out my heartfelt prayers to everyone who lost a loved one or friend on Sept 11. It's still hard to imagine that terrorists could actually strike this country and cause such pain for everyone. I feel a loss, although I didn't know anyone who died that day. The pride I feel for my country and its people swells my heart and I pray that we all heal a little more each day.

I am 17 years old and I have never been to New York. While I was looking at this web site my body got the chills and a tear came rolling down my face when I saw the picture "lets roll". This is a wonderful web site.
