Hi. My name is Wendy and I'm from Newton, Kan. I think everyone in this country has been affected by 9-11 in one form or another, some worse than others. I'm a single mother with three kids. After the attacks, I had fears I'd never really experienced before. I was so uncertain about where terrorists would strike next, and I was afraid my kids would be drafted in the military to fight terrorism. I'd be afraid when I saw small planes passing overhead — thinking maybe they were dropping some kind of biological weapon on our town near Wichita, which has an Air Force base. My mother bought us some bags, food and supplies so we'd be prepared in case we were attacked. We still have those "attack supplies" in our bedrooms. My kids and I discussed where we'd meet in case we were attacked by terrorists.

After the attacks, I was glued to the television, but decided to back off because it was really getting to me. It was extremely sad and shocking. All the major networks did a great job getting information out, which must have been quite stressful for them, but they did it because it had to be done. I was saddened by so many people killed. I'm happy to see reports now of the survivors. I just saw one report on the news this morning about the last survivor in the hospital. She has a great story.

God Bless America - All That Lived and Died! You Are All Heroes!

September 10, 2002

Condolences for September 11th -

I watched the horror Live 10:30 at night Australian Time as the special broadcast cut in. I cannot tell you how much everybody felt for you all on that terrible Day but as true patriots your strength shines through!

I live in the most remote City in the World Perth Western Australia, but that day I felt as close to you all in America as if you were my brothers and sisters - I cannot express the tears and pain we all shared and realized that no Matter where you Live in the World NO One is safe from terrorism.

As Human beings we all lived through that experience and our true colors came out in the form of compassion and the strength to unite together and most of all the Love shared in the aftermath - Three major human qualities that unites us together as one people even across the other side of the World .

On this Day ! We remember All of the souls lost and the courage of those who helped!

We are all one when we are Freedom Loving people, and I know the whole of Australia shares your pain pain and grief. Here's to a much brighter and safer future for all freedom Loving peoples of the World !

OUR HEARTS ARE WITH YOU ---- GOD BLESS YOU AMERICA ---- LOVE FROM AUSTRALIA !

The tragic events of September 11, 2001 brought America to it's knees....in prayer. Profound sorrow and grief were met with prayers from around the world. With each tear that is shed...perhaps one heartache is lessened - if only for a moment- for a loved one left behind. While terrorists shouted evil victory on that day...Our "I love yous" resounded throughout the heavens and here on earth.

God Blessed America then, He blesses us now and will forever.

Last Sept 11th I was at work at a local news paper in Daytona Beach, Florida. I was stunned to see what was happening in New York and Washington DC my heart fell to my stomach when I thought of all the people who might die. Then I heard about the plane going down in Pennsylvania those people risking there lives for all of our safety. I get teary eyed when I see or hear anything about this tragedy I can't imagine all the heart break everyone will feel tomorrow but I have always believed God doesn't give us more than we can handle. On that day though I wondered why did God give all this devastation to so many people. But the learning we have all gone through this past year has to have made us richer in the knowledge of how to try and be there for all people in this wonderful free world. So tomorrow and every day say a prayer for our nation and all the people in it. GOD BLESS AMERICA.
