Also, 911 was the day America lost her innocence. We will never again travel easily. We will never again feel immune to attack, buffeted by Mexico and Canada and two oceans. How sad that we may never again regain that optimism that is rooted in a sense of safety. We have aged a lot. We are wiser and sadder. We are all, in this sense, victims of the evil that attacked us on 911. I pray we may feel the strength of each other and our God. We have lost the invulnerability of youth. Let's hope it is for the best. Jim I would like to take this time out and once again commend all of our braves heroes and heroes of 9/11. This day will definitely be a remembrance for America. I truly believe this should be one day that's completely honored for our nation. My heart goes out to all the family members who suffered a great loss from the tragedies of 9/11. Forever and a day you will always be remembered in my prayers... LaShawn What started out as a gorgeous day in September,2001, ended by being the most horrific day in my memory. I remember the events of that day as if they had happened just yesterday. Panic set in as we tried to touch base with all we knew who were in or around both NYC and the Pentagon. I pray that on the anniversary of that terrible day we will all be safe. God please America. Also, the FEMA Remembrance Gallery is very moving. Thank you for sharing! Sheila I just saw the FEMA interview this morning on the Today Show, and looked at the photos mentioned. They are spectacular and such an enormous tribute to our country and the people who made such a difference on September 11th last year. A tremendous and heartfelt thanks to you for posting this marvelous tribute. It has made bearing this first anniversary so much easier. Suzanne Our hearts and minds are with all the survivors of 911 and in remembrance of those who so courageously gave their lives that tragic day. We must however not let evil prevail and must go on with our lives. It is paramount to our children's well being that we not let our concern over future attacks consume us.
