I am searching for the words
But only sadness comes to mine
The rubble and the dust tell the story
That will be remembered for all time
The pain in the eyes of those who survived
We shall never forget those who lost their lives
On a bright sunny day, the all pasted away
But not in vain, but for us to remember
On a bright sunny day the 11th of September.

A year ago, America cried, and is still crying -- for the innocent people whose lives were snuffed out by people who are Hell-bent on destroying America and all she stands for. Together, we can stand by our President and show the world we are stronger and more united then ever. We'll never forget!

My company will observe a minute of silence at 8:46 am tomorrow morning. God Bless America!

Late August of 2001 we were returning to the NY Harbor from a cruise. My husband and I stood on the upper deck as the sun rose and the early morning light shone on the Statue of Liberty in all her glory welcoming us home. As we looked at the famous NY skyline, the beauty was overwhelming, and yes the Twin Towers were majestic even at that distance.

It doesn't take much to remember the horrific events of a year ago. I don't think that a day goes by that I am not reminded in some way of how a nation suffered, partly because I work in a volunteer Fire Department, my brother and sister-in-law are volunteer firefighters and my sister is an EMT with the fire department in the town we grew up in. The reminders are not just of the terrible loss of so many innocent souls, precious to their families and friends, but of how a nation has come together. There is an awareness of how Police Officers, Firemen, Emergency Response teams, and countless others, are there for us every single day and they are being recognized for what they do on a DAILY basis. They have always been "unsung" heroes and now people are openly thanking these wonderful human beings for what they have dedicated their lives to, the protection and safety of others.

My heart still aches for the families who lost their loved ones and nothing will be able to fill the emptiness I'm sure they feel. I continue to pray for those who were lost and their loved ones. I pray for our Nation to stand strong and brave, and most of all I pray for PEACE. May God Bless America and watch over all those who are protecting us here and overseas.

When I heard about the attacks, I was in 2nd hour Phys. Ed. I didn't really understand what was happening, because nothing like that had ever happened before then. I was in shock! Once we went to 3rd hour, everyone turned on their TV and we watched it all. When I seen the planes crash into the buildings all I could think was, "What are those poor innocent people going to do to get out of there!" Now, everyone has came closer together and we've benefited that way. We also are more alert when it comes to terrorists. One thing that is a loss is those lives lost, but now, all we can do it keep those souls in our heart and never let go. By the way..Debbie, You're in my prayers and I know that you'll be able to walk down the isle.

One year ago changed the lives of all Americans, that it did, but it only served to strengthen our love for our country, our people, and our lifestyles, that "love" is ultimately"only" ours as Americans. Let's pray that we always remain strong, and never, ever forget..God bless you all!!!!
