from this horrible event I am reminded of how ever-so-fortunate I am.
To sit in the comfort of my living room and gaze with heartfelt amazement
as so many people have come together to resolve this crisis is truly remarkable.
I cannot begin to imagine the horrors and emotions associated with countless
hours of sorting through debris to find something, anything to serve as
a memento from such a massive grave site of all those never to be whole
again. My heart goes out to all of those individuals that assisted in
the rescue and cleanup efforts, the families, and friends of lost loved
ones as well as all of America. I find that even though I personally did
not know anyone that lost their life in this tragedy, this event has touched
my life like no other. May we find the courage and the peace to wake up
every morning and Anita This the one year anniversary is sure very hard for those personally affected my this terrible tragedy. This has affected not only them but the country and the world. We should and shall never forget. We will grow stronger and stronger as the years go by. They will never take away our FREEDOM. September 10, 2002 I still can't believe this has happened to my favorite City. I just made a scrap book for my step father who is a former resident of New York. I cried while making this for him and I cry every time I look through it. It was of my first trip to NYC, I will never forget it for the rest of my life, to see the skyline with the twin towers and having a picture looking up at those two tall buildings saddens me. I am so glad that I have those pictures of NYC to always remember what it did look like. This past April I came to NY for my birthday, I now have new pictures of the skyline and its not what I remember. To compare the pics of just 12 years ago to now is just unbelievable to me. I love NYC and always will be my favorite place to visit. God Bless our nation and the people that lost lives that day. Norrie I still find myself in tears everyday. And while I'll never forget what happened on 9/11/01, I'm so proud of my wonderful country and how we have come together as a result of that tragic day. I don't believe those terrorists knew the kind of people they were dealing with when they chose to cowardly attack the United States. Their atrocities have brought to the surface our determination and love of our country which was always there but in a quiet manner. Today, this determination and resolve is IN THEIR FACES and now we are better and stronger than ever. United We Stand!.
