FEMA has established a new Alaska-specific Disaster Assistance Hotline for residents in the Regional Educational Attendance Areas of Bering Strait, Kashunamiut, Lower Kuskokwim and Lower Yukon who experienced damage or loss from September’s severe storm, flooding and landslides.

Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Housing Inspectors will be in Napakiak and Napaskiak on Friday, Oct. 7, Hooper Bay Saturday, Oct. 8 and Nome Friday, Oct. 7 through Saturday, Oct. 8 to help survivors register for FEMA assistance and perform housing inspections for applicants who experienced damage from the Sept. 15 - 20 severe storms, flooding and landslides.
